Specific Need

We are participating in Match Day to grow our endowment fund, which will increase the amount available to grant to organizations during our annual competitive-grant process.

Mission

Funds to be used for charitable purposes, including to provide housing, rent, and utility needs assistance to elderly, handicapped, and low-income families and individuals of Pittsburg, Kansas and the surrounding area; to provide health and human services to meet the educational, social, physical, spiritual, and psychological needs of such persons, and to promote the health, security, happiness and usefulness, and improve community services of such persons.

Profile

The Knights of Columbus Endowment Fund continues the mission of the Knights of Columbus Tower in Pittsburg through an annual grant cycle. Grants are available for programs and projects that accomplish any of the following for the elderly, handicapped, and low-income families and individuals of Crawford County, Kansas:

  • Provide housing-, rent-, and utility-needs assistance;
  • Provide health and human services to meet their educational, social, physical, spiritual, and psychological needs;
  • Promote their health, security, happiness, and usefulness; or
  • Improve community services for them.

In 2022, the Knights of Columbus Endowment awarded grants to 10 local nonprofit organizations. In 2023, it granted $63,000 to nine nonprofits. You Match Day donation helps to increase the amount available for granting by the Knights of Columbus Endowment!
