Specific Need

The Crawford County Fair Board strives to provide a community facility year-round for the nearly 40,000 residents of Crawford County with a specific emphasis on the annual Crawford County Fair. Barns, stall spaces, RV hookups, arenas and a community building are available throughout the year for a multitude of events from youth camps to wedding receptions to 4^th of July celebrations. However, the primary purpose of the Crawford County Fair Board is to provide a family-friendly, annual fair giving the youth and members of our county the opportunity to showcase skills and hard work with their horses, rocketry, baking skills, livestock, gardening and many other specialties. Participation in Match Day allows for facility upkeep and upgrades to preserve the rich history while continuing to provide an annual celebration of the hard work of our county’s future.

Mission

The Crawford County Fair Board Association is committed to providing stewardship of the Crawford County Fairgrounds. The organization’s goal is to provide a safe, family-friendly community facility, along with an annual fair event to celebrate the efforts of the youth of Crawford County through 4-H projects, showcase citizen projects through the open class division and provide nightly, family entertainment during the fair for Crawford County and the surrounding areas.

Profile

The Crawford County Fair Board has been organized for over 100 years to serve as the stewards and leadership over the Crawford County Fairgrounds. The Board, through a long-term lease with the City of Girard, is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the fairgrounds as well as organizing the annual Crawford County Fair.
